History of Bugges Room

History of Bugges Room

The First edition of Bugge's Room was built in a rundown factory called Sjokoladefabrikken.

Around 1994 there were many musicians and artists based there. I had a one-room studio, about 10 squaremeters in size; hence the name - "Bugge's Room."

The initial intention was to have a studio containing few but high quality elements. This would allow me to record and work with my own music without having to rent another studio. My first album was partly recorded and mixed there.

I moved in around 1995, but moved out again in '96 due to too much sound interference from other bands ...

For a year or so, Bugge's Room was located in my basement, and the recording room was the hallway :) before finally moving to where we are today.

At the top of Grunerløkka in Oslo. A 330 squaremeter loft in an old rebuilt factory. I love this place. Lots of space and a great vibe. We are sharing the space with 3 other studios and the Jazzland office. All of my albums are recorded and mixed here.
